Create an Assignment
To create an assignment, click on any student facing resource, and click the "Assign" button. Choose the class(es) and/or student(s) you would like to assign the resource to, and add an optional note with assignment instructions.
If assigning only to specific students and not an entire class, click the arrow next to “All students” to reveal the full class list, and select the student(s) you would like to assign the resource to (you must also select the corresponding class even when assigning only to specific students).
Review Assignment Details
To view all assignments for your class(es) or student(s), click on the assignment icon (check mark) on the left navigation. The assignment page shows a list of all assignments you have created, the date of the assignments, and the class(es)and/or student(s) they have been assigned to. Click on the assignment row or the "View" button to view additional details regarding the assignment, review and download any files that were submitted as a part of the assignment, and to close the assignment to your class.
Teachers also have the ability to delete specific files that students have uploaded as a part of an assignment. If a teacher would like to remove a file for any reason (e.g. inappropriate content, student uploaded an incorrect file with personal information, etc..) the can do so by clicking the Remove Attachments trashcan icon shown to the left of the Download button.
Once that button is clicked the teacher will be able to select the file(s) they would like to delete, and after confirming their selection(s) the file(s) will be deleted from the assignment and will no longer be accessible to the teacher.
Complete and Submit an Assignment
Active assignments appear to students on the To Do page in the order that they are assigned. Assignments that have been viewed but not completed are labeled as "started".
When a student clicks on an assignment, he/she will see the instructions provided by the teacher along with the assigned resource and the assignment submission tool. Once the assignment has been completed on a student's computer, the student will upload the completed file using the assignment submission tool and the assignment will be removed from the To Do page. Alternatively, the assignment will be automatically removed from the student's To Do page when the teacher closes the assignment from their end.
