PhD Science Texas - Teacher Assessment Reports

Assessment data is compiled into class reports, which can be accessed at any time from the Analyze page or by clicking “Analyze” on the assignment card from the Assign page. There are three types of reports: Assessment, Standards, and Student Reports.

Navigate to Reports

Use the side bar navigation to open the Analyze page. If no assessments have been administered, this page will be empty. Otherwise, access reports for each assessment administered by clicking on that assessment’s preview card, view the latest assessed standards, or view the full standards report.

Data is available within minutes of students submitting their assessments; as additional students submit assessments and/or assessments are scored by the teacher, the reports will be updated. Once “Finish Score” is selected from the Assessment Scoring page, there will be no additional updates to the reports.

Assessment Report

The assessment report contains overall insights into how the class performed on the assessment, how class performance was distributed across proficiency bands, item analysis, and standards performance. There are multiple ways to access an assessment report. Select a specific assessment to see the assessment report.

  1. If the assessment was administered to multiple classes, use the class drop-down at the top of the report to toggle between sections.
  2. Hover over any calculation or bar to learn more about the underlying data.
  3. View the suggested Next Steps by item for student learning based on student performance. Next steps provide strategies for teachers to respond to student performance data in the moment, and after summative assessments.
  4. Click on any item number to preview that item.
  5. Select a student's name to access that student’s overall performance report.
  6. Select an item score from the Item Analysis to view the student's response on that item.
  7. The graphic shows class performance. The graphic also shows the average raw score of students who submitted the assessment. Select each proficiency category to view the breakdown of the student assessment data.
