PhD Science Texas - Customize Benchmark Assessments
In PhD Science Texas, you can duplicate existing Benchmark assessments in the Great Minds Library and customize them by reordering items, deleting items, and adding new items from the item bank.
Other assessments types cannot be duplicated and customized at this time.
Duplicate an Assessment
- Select Assess from the main menu.
- Locate the Benchmark assessment you wish to duplicate in the Great Minds Library. You can use the filters on the left to filter the library by Level, Module, and assessment Type.
- To duplicate a Benchmark assessment, click the kebab icon and select Duplicate from the drop-down menu.
- A draft of the duplicated assessment will be saved under the My Assessments tab. Any edits to the copied assessment will not change the original assessment in the Great Minds Library.
Customize the Assessment
Duplicated and customized assessments are stored under the My Assessments tab in Assess.
- Select Assess from the main menu.
- Under My Assessments, select the assessment you wish to customize.
- Click the kebab icon at the top right.
- Select Edit Assessment to edit the assessment settings.
- If desired, modify the assessment title, subtitle, and some of the curriculum location information: level, module, and topic. Click Save to save your changes.
- Rearrange the order of the assessment items by dragging an item to a new position in the item list.
- Preview the item.
- To remove items from the assessment, select the box to the left of each item and then select Remove.
- Find items in the Great Minds Library to add to the assessment.
- View the standards related to the assessment.
- View the standards related to the item.
- View the assessment as a student.
- Discard the draft if necessary.
- Select Save Draft if you would like to customize the assessment at a later date, or until you are ready to Publish.
- Select Publish when you've finished customizing the assessment.
- After publishing, return to My Assessments to assign the customized assessment.
