Eureka Math Equip - Implementation Overview
The image below illustrates how you might utilize each of the resources as you prepare to teach a module.
For the first module of the year, use the Pre-Module Assessment during the first few days of school to collect data and develop instructional plans before starting formal instruction. For subsequent modules, plan to give the Pre-Module Assessment at least one full week prior to the start of the next module to allow time for follow-up assessments and instructional planning.
The pre-module assessment is designed to identify gaps in foundational knowledge that could interfere with a students’ success in the module. Each item on the pre-module assessment is directly tied to one piece of essential foundational knowledge (EFK) for the module.
Keep in mind that the Pre-Module Assessment is not intended to replace the Mid-Module or End-of-Module Assessment for a given module, as it does not assess grade-level content.
