Eureka Math Squared - Keyboard Navigation on Lesson Guidance Pages

Lesson guidance pages are now accessible for keyboard users. Keyboard users can add highlights and notes solely using keyboard navigation. These updates allow all users to effectively customize their lessons with notes and highlights that will stick year over year.


Highlight Using Keyboard Shortcuts

1. Activate keyboard navigation on your browser by holding Fn+F7 and hitting the Enter key.

2. Use the Tab button to navigate through the page sections.

3. To select text, hold the Shift key and use the navigation arrows to move your cursor to the end of the text excerpt you wish to highlight.

4. Select Ctrl+alt+h to activate the highlighter tool.

5. Use the Tab key to navigate through the color options on the color selector.

6. Hit Enter once you land on the desired color.

Add Notes Using Keyboard Shortcuts

1. Activate keyboard navigation on your browser by holding Fn+F7 and hitting the Enter key.

2. Use the Tab key to navigate through the page sections until you reach the toolbox.

3. Hit Enter to select the toolbox.

4. Use the Tab key to navigate to the Notes label and hit Enter.

5. Hit the Esc key to exit the toolbox.

6. Use the Tab key to navigate to the Notes icons throughout the guidance page. When you land on the note you wish to edit, hit Enter.

7. Type your desired text.

8. To change the background color of the note, use the Tab key to navigate to the desired color and hit Enter.

9. To save the note, navigate to the Save button using the Tab key, and hit Enter.

NVDA users must first toggle focus mode in NVDA by pressing NVDA+space to activate keyboard navigation.
