PhD Science Texas - Customize Lesson Slides
After starting a class’s digital lesson or presentation, you can customize the slides using the following options:
Hide Slides
1. Start, reopen, or revisit a lesson.
2. Switch to the Monitoring view.
3. Locate the slide you wish to modify in the panel on the left.
4. Click the kebab menu icon for the selected slide.
5. Select Hide Slide from the drop-down menu.
Note: Some slides depend on each other. Hiding a slide may impact later slides in the presentation. If needed, you can un-hide a slide by selecting Show Slide from the kebab menu.
Send Slides to Students
You can send individual lesson slides to students so that they view and interact with the slides on their own devices.
1. Start, reopen, or revisit a lesson.
2. Switch to the Monitoring view.
3. Locate the slide you wish to modify in the panel on the left.
4. Click the kebab menu icon for the selected slide.
5. Select Send to Students from the drop-down menu.
Students will be invited to join the lesson as soon as the first slide is sent. You can undo this action by opening the menu again and selecting Undo Send to Students. Once you send a slide(s) to your students, you can:
- View and capture student work in the Monitoring view.
- Create discussions using snapshots in the Gallery.
- Track individual students' progress using the Student Tracker.
- Freeze students and get their attention by selecting Pause Students.
Additionally, students can revisit this lesson in the Completed section of their dashboard.
Add Blank Slides
1. Start, reopen, or revisit a lesson.
2. Switch to the Monitoring view.
3. Select a slide to insert a blank slide above or below it.
4. Click the kebab menu icon for the selected slide.
5. Select New slide before to insert a blank slide before the selected slide.
6. Select New slide after to insert a blank slide after the selected slide.
Custom slides are numbered separately (C1, C2) from existing slides (T1, T2). You can add content to blank slides using the slide annotation tools.
