Complete Assessments
Once students submit their assessments, the primary action will change to “Score” on the assessment card. Submissions can be scored at any time. Auto-scored submissions do not require the teacher to score, but teachers can adjust scores if necessary using the Score option.
The student scoring page contains a summary of each student’s performance and navigation to student submissions. Use the arrows at the top of the page to navigate between students while scoring their submissions.
1. Navigate to Assign using the main menu.
2. Locate the assessment you wish to score, and select Score to begin scoring the assessment.
3. Use the forward and back arrows on the student's scoring card to navigate to the student you wish to score. Alternatively, you can select a specific student to score from the drop-down menu.
4. Scroll down to review the student's item responses. In the scoring panel on the right:
- Input a point value for any items question that requires manual scoring.
- Adjust the number of points earned on auto-scored items (if desired).
5. Select the Feedback tab next to any question to input feedback on the selected question. The student can review this feedback once you close and finish scoring the assessment for the class.
6. Once you've finished scoring the assessment, use the forward/back arrows or the drop-down menu to navigate to another student's submission.
7. Once all students have submitted their assessments and all manually scored items have been scored, click Finish Score. This will release scores to the students (unless another option was selected during assignment creation) and finalize the assessment report.
Once Finish Score is selected, scores cannot be updated and students will no longer be able to attempt the assessment.
