Wit & Wisdom 2025-2026 Digital Updates

For Back-to-School 2025, Great Minds® has undertaken a series of updates to streamline the user experience and improve our digital platform.

⚠️  Action needed: As a result of these updates, teachers and administrators must take specific actions to retain access to the following:

Teachers and administrators must perform these actions prior to July 6, 2025, to avoid losing access to existing data. Rostering data shared with Great Minds via Clever, ClassLink, or OneRoster CSV is not impacted by these updates.

Additional changes to the Wit & Wisdom® digital experience are outlined below, including:

Starting Back-to-School 2025, all Great Minds curriculum products will be accessed from a single, unified digital experience. The updated digital experience features a refreshed and simplified look while maintaining the familiar layout and navigation of the current Wit & Wisdom platform. Review the video overview below for a sneak peek at the new experience.

Many of the updates for the 2025–2026 school year are informed by extensive product feedback, user testing, and thoughtful considerations around lesson preparation. We look forward to hearing your success with these enhancements.

Administrator Reports

Administrators will have access to visual and CSV assessment reports within the current school year. Administrator visual and CSV assessment reports from prior school years will not be available to view or export from the platform after July 6, 2025. Administrators should screenshot and/or export any reports they wish to retain prior to this date.

⚠️ Action(s) needed

  • Export CSV reports prior to July 6, 2025
  • Screenshot any visual reports prior to July 6, 2025

Visual and CSV reports for the current school year will be accessible to administrators. The following enhancements to Wit & Wisdom administrator reports will be available after July 6, 2025:

  • Administrators can export standards performance data in CSV format.
  • The CSV report format will be standardized across assessment types.
  • All reports will contain the same columns and data for all assessments. Administrators will have access to a visual assessment report for assessments completed by two or more classes.

Teacher Reports

The updated digital experience includes visual and design changes to teacher assessment reports that will simplify navigation, improve the usability and readability of reports, and provide a consistent reporting experience across Great Minds curricula.

From the reports page, teachers will have access to assessment reports within the current school year. They can select a report type and navigate directly to their own class reports. Sample reports will no longer be accessible from the reports page. More information on these updates will be shared in the coming months.

Teacher assessment reports from prior school years will not be accessible from the platform after July 6, 2025. Teachers can print student reports or screenshot any visual reports they wish to retain.

Teacher Edition Annotations

Going forward, Wit & Wisdom lessons will be available in printable PDF format. Teachers can use in-platform annotation tools to annotate lesson PDFs, and their annotations will be saved in the platform. If teachers return to a lesson PDF, any annotations from their previous session(s) will be visible and can be modified if needed.

The existing Digital Teacher Edition format, with module files housed on Inkling, will be retired as part of these changes. As a result, existing Teacher Edition annotations will not be accessible after July 6, 2025.

Prior to July 6, 2025, teachers should review their existing annotations in each module. To preserve these annotations, they will need to take a screenshot or copy and paste the text into a separate document.

⚠️ Action(s) needed:

  • Screenshot or copy existing annotations prior to July 6, 2025

Assignment Submissions

Teachers will not have access to PDF assignment submissions from prior school years after July 6, 2025. Teachers can download student assignment submissions they wish to retain.

Wit & Wisdom Assessment Updates

Students will continue to complete Question Sets, Vocabulary Assessments, and New Read Assessments in the digital platform. Going forward, students will not be able to complete Focusing Question Tasks and End-of-Module digital assessments in the digital platform. This change allows students to focus on the assessment, and for teachers to utilize digital scoring and standards-based reporting in the platform. These assessments can be printed, and students will complete them on paper. Teachers can score these assessments in the digital platform to generate performance data for reports.

We understand these changes may require adjustments in your classroom processes. Thank you for your continued partnership and feedback as we work to enhance Wit & Wisdom for your students and classrooms. You can contact us if you have any questions or feedback regarding these updates.
