Complete Assignments

Students can complete video and PDF assignments from My Work.

Assignments have a set due date, but students can continue to access and submit an assignment after the due date. Assignments will remain open for late submissions until  closed by the teacher. 

Complete Video Assignments

Videos can be viewed directly in the platform. Students can toggle between English and Spanish versions (when available) at the top right corner.

Students also have the option to turn on closed captioning, make the video full screen, adjust the volume, and pause or play the video from any point.

Students can select I'm Done at the top right to indicate they've completed the video. This will remove the video assignment from their My Work list.

Complete PDF Assignments

Students have two ways to submit PDF assignments:

  1. Complete Online
  2. Upload a File (Complete Offline)

Teachers will select their preferred submission method when assigning work to their class.

Complete Assignments Online

To complete the assignment online, the student can use the annotation tools provided to draw, type, or highlight on the PDF. Once they select a tool, they can select the Style icon to access additional color, opacity, and other settings in the right side menu.

When the student has completed their work, they will submit their assignment to their teacher by clicking the I'm Done button.

After confirming they wish to submit the assignment, a copy of their completed assignment will automatically download to their device.
 

Upload a File (Complete Offline)

Instead of completing assignments online, students can download PDF files from the platform, complete them on their local device, and upload them back to Great Minds.

  1. Download the PDF and save the file to your device.
  2. Complete the assignment using a PDF editor on your device.
  3. Save the changes made to your PDF.
  4. Upload your completed file using the assignment submissions tool to submit it to your teacher.
  5. Once the file has been uploaded, click the I'm Done button and the assignment will be removed from My Work.
