ClassLink recently introduced a feature called DataGuard for student PII protection. If enabled, DataGuard allows districts to mask specific values so they cannot be used to identify the student they belong to. These values are:
These masked values will appear across all Great Minds digital platforms, so it will be impossible for teachers to identify their students and/or classes if this feature is enabled.
As Great Minds requires student identifiers to effectively use our digital products, we strongly advise against enabling DataGuard for your ClassLink integration with Great Minds.
If this feature has been enabled for your organization, contact your IT administrator as they will need to work with ClassLink to disable DataGuard.
