Extend Display
When presenting lesson slides to your class, you may find it helpful to extend your display. Extending your display allows you to drag the presentation slides into a new window while viewing teacher edition content on your primary screen. The process to extend your screen varies based on your device. Locate your device type below and follow the instructions provided.
Windows Computer
- First, connect your external screen/projector to your device.
- Follow Microsoft's instructions here to extend your display. Note:
- Once your display is set up, you can drag your presentation window to your extended screen.
Instructions differ between Windows 10 and 11 devices. Be sure to select your correct OS.
Mac Computer
- First, connect your external screen/projector to your device.
- Follow Apple's instructions here to extend your display.
- Once your display is set up, you can drag your presentation window to your extended screen.
Instructions differ by OS type. Be sure to select your OS from the drop-down at the top of the page.
Chromebook
- First, connect your external screen/projector to your device.
- Follow Google's instructions here to extend your display.
- Once your display is set up, you can drag your presentation window to your extended screen.
iPad
- First, connect your external screen/projector to your device.
- Follow Apple's instructions to extend your display. Be sure to select your iPadOS version at the top of the page before following the instructions.
- Alternatively, you can use Apple Airplay to mirror your display wirelessly if your external screen/projector supports Airplay.
- Once your display is set up, you can drag your presentation window to your extended screen.
