Extract a Compressed File

1. Locate the zipped folder from which you want to extract (unzip) files. Compressed files may end with different file extensions such as .zip or .gz.

2. To extract the files from the zipped folder:

• Windows: Right click on the file and select Extract All from the drop-down. Then choose a location for the extracted files. By default, they'll be extracted to the same folder as the compressed file.
• Mac: Double click on the zipped folder.

3. A folder will be created which will contain the extracted files.
