This article explains how to download and interpret staff sync reports.
Role Required: District Administrator or School Administrator
This feature is for Self-Serve Rostering customers only .
Download Staff Sync Report
If your student upload file encountered any errors during processing, you can download a sync report to review those errors.
1. Navigate to Manage in your administrator account.
2. If your account is associated with multiple schools, select the Schools icon and then select the school where you upload was performed.
3. Select Staff.
4. If an upload status banner is still present at the top of the page, you can download the sync report by clicking the sync report link.
5. If the status banner is no longer present, click the Options button and select View File Upload Status from the drop-down menu. Select sync report next to the desired upload.
The File Upload Status modal includes additional information about the last 10 upload performed, including:
- Uploaded File: The original file you uploaded.
- Sync Status: The current status of the sync (Note: you may need to refresh this page to see updates for syncs in progress).
- Completion Date: The date and time the sync completed.
- Sync Report: If the sync encountered any errors during processing, a sync report will be generated. Click the sync report link to download a copy of the report.
View Staff Sync Report
When you download the sync report, you'll see which users were not created and why they could not be created. Each sync report will contain the following columns:
- Row Number: The row number in your file where the error occurred.
- sourcedId: The Staff ID of the affected user.
- Column Name: The name of the column where the error occurred.
- Error: A description of the error.
If a user has multiple errors, you will see multiple error rows for that user to identify each individual error.
You can use this information to identify and resolve errors in your staff upload file. Once you have resolved the identified errors, try uploading your file again. If you experience any issues or have additional questions, submit a support ticket or contact your Digital Implementation Specialist.
