Substitute Teacher Access

Substitute teacher access depends on your district's rostering setup. Identify your rostering method below and use the instructions provided to give access to substitute teachers.

For districts using an automated rostering method such as Clever, ClassLink, or OneRoster, Great Minds does not support standalone teacher accounts that are not connected to the district’s rostering integration.

Clever

Add the substitute teacher to your district's rostering data source (SIS) and assign them as a co-teacher to any classes they need access to. Co-teachers have the same permissions as the primary teacher of the class. After the nightly sync, they will be able to log in and access Great Minds curriculum and their assigned class(es).

ClassLink

Add the substitute teacher to your district's rostering data source (SIS) and assign them as a co-teacher to any classes they need access to. Co-teachers have the same permissions as the primary teacher of the class. After the nightly sync, they will be able to log in and access Great Minds curriculum and their assigned class(es).

OneRoster

Add the substitute teacher to your district's rostering data source (SIS) and assign them as a co-teacher to any classes they need access to. Co-teachers have the same permissions as the primary teacher of the class. After the nightly sync, they will be able to log in and access Great Minds curriculum and their assigned class(es).

Self-Serve

To provision access for a substitute teacher, an administrator will need to create an account for them.

Once their account is created, you can add them as a co-teacher to any classes they'll be instructing. Co-teachers have the same permissions as the primary teacher of the class.

Once they are no longer teaching at the school, an administrator can archive their account
