Unpair Classes

This article explains how to unpair a Learning Management System (LMS) course from a Great Minds class.

Role Required: Teacher
 

Prerequisites

Pairing is a function of Deep Linking and Assignment and Grade Services. If your district uses neither of these extensions, then you will not be able to pair/unpair classes.

Classes should not be regularly unpaired. Unpairing a class may break any deployed assessment links in the LMS and/or disrupt grade passback services. Classes should only be unpaired if they were paired by mistake.


Unpair Class

1. Launch the Great Minds app/link in your LMS.*

2. In the Great Minds class details tile, click the kebab icon and select Unpair from the drop-down menu.

3. Confirm that you would like to unpair this class by typing “UNPAIR” and clicking the Unpair button.

You'll be redirected back to the pairing page to re-pair your LMS course with a Great Minds class.

Due to district configuration options and differences across LMS platforms, your Great Minds app/link location may vary. If you are unsure where to find links/apps in your LMS, contact an administrator at your school or district.
