Assign Assessments
Teachers (including co-teachers) can assign assessments from the Resources page or from the Library tab on the Assessments page.
ℹ️ Some Great Minds curricula include assessments that can be digitally assigned to students, but students will not complete them online. Students will complete these assessments offline/on paper, and teachers will score them digitally for reporting purposes. These assessments include:
- Arts & Letters: Module Tasks, End-of-Module Tasks, Module Listening Comprehension Assessments
- PhD Science Texas: Engineering Challenges, Science Challenges, Capstone Projects
- Wit & Wisdom: End of Module Assessments, Focusing Question Tasks
See Score Offline Assessments for more information on administering these types of assessments.
1. Select the assessment you wish to assign on the Resources page or from the Great Minds Library in Assessments.
2. Select Assign at the top right.

3. Select the section(s) that will be taking the assessment.

4. Under Allow Access, select the desired launch option:
- Immediately allows immediate access to the assessment.
- Schedule for later allows teachers to set a specific date and time for the assessment to become available to students.
- Manually launch means teachers must manually launch the assessment from the Assigned tab.
⚠️ If you select Manually launch, you will need to manually launch the assessment to open it for students.

5. By default, all students in your class will be assigned the assessment. If you want to assign the assessment to specific students, deselect All Students and then select the individual students who need to take the assessment.
6. Select Advanced settings to modify the default assessment settings.
7. Click Assign to assign the assessment to your class.
